Back from Barcelona!

As we announced few posts ago, we were at the Barcelona Manga Con this last weekend for starting to sell the HeyRope! fanzine. The results were quite positive, we solt around 120 copies of the fanzine and everyone that read it told to us that they like it. So we’re very happy and we want to thank again to all the artists that have collaborated for make this project real. Thank you very much.

Tal y como anunciamos en posts anteriores, estuvimos en el Salón del Manga de Barcelona este último fin de semana para empezar a vender el HeyRope!. Los resultados fueron bastante positivos, vendimos alrededor de 120 copias y todos los que lo leyeron nos contaron que les gustó. Así que estamos muy felices y queremos agradecer de nuevo a todos los artistas que han colaborado en este proyecto para hacerlo real. Muchas gracias a todos.

Now, apart of continue selling the fanzine in all the comic events/conventions possibles, we want to send copies of the HeyRope! to all the collaborators that still don’t have one. So please, send us and e-mail to eurocomic@gmail.com specifying your postal data and telling us if you want extra copies for sell them at your country, town or city.

Ahora, aparte de continuar vendiendo el fanizne en todos los eventos y convenciones de cómic posibles, queremos enviar copias de el HeyRope! a todos los colaboradores que todavía no tienen una. Así que por favor, enviadnos un e-mail a eurocomic@gmail.com especificando vuestros datos postales y diciéndonos si queréis copias extra para venderlas en vuestro país, pueblo o ciudad.

And finally, all the people that already bought the HeyRope!, tell us here at the commentary box of this post or at our Tweeter account (using the hashtag #heyrope) what’s your opinion about the fanzine. We’ll appreciate it a lot.

HeyRope! at the Barcelona MangaCon!

The HeyRope! fanzine will be printed before the end of this week and this weekend the Barcelona MangaCon will be celebrated so as Studio Kat will go to this event we’ll take it for selling it in our stand. So, we’ll give a free copy to all the collaborators of the fanzine that approach to our stand (but only for the collaborators).

El fanzine HeyRope! estará impreso para antes del final de esta semana y este fin de semana se celebrará el Salón del Manga de Barcelona así que como Studio Kat vamos a este evento llevaremos el fanzine para venderlo en nuestro stand. Así que todo colaborador del fanzine que se acerque a nuestro stand recibirá una copia gratis (pero solo los colaboradores).

After finishing the layout process and other things, we can say that the fanzine is already on the printing!

Deadline is here!

Today is the deadline for all the collaborators of the fanzine for send us their sketched pages of the comics that they will do. From today until 15 September they have to do the final pages for the fanzine, then we will layout it and at the end we will have a very good product 😉 So mind, this is nearly finished!

Hoy es la fecha límite para que todos los colaboradores del fanzine nos envíen sus páginas abocetadas de los comics que harán. Desde hoy hasta el 15 de Septiembre tienen que hacer las páginas finales del fanzine, después las maquetaremos y al final tendremos un muy buen producto 😉 Así que ánimo, esto casi se ha acabado!

2 months ago we received an e-mail from EFE, a very important spanish news agency, for interview us. Now a lot of press media are mentioning and spreading the European Fanzine Project so that means a lot of people will know this project 🙂

Hace dos meses recibimos un e-mail de EFE, una agencia de noticias española de gran importancia, para entrevistarnos. Ahora un montón de medios de prensa están mencionando y difundiendo el Proyecto de Fanizne Europeo lo cual significa que un montón de gente conocerá este proyecto 🙂

Spanish Amateur Encounter on OTAKUART / Encuentro de Autores Españoles en Otakuart

As you know, OTAKUART finished two weeks ago so it’s time to talk about the Spanish Amateur Encounter that take place in the convention.

Como sabéis, OTAKUART terminó hace dos semanas así que es el momento de hablar acerca del Encuentro de Autores Españoles que tuvo lugar en tal evento.

First of all, the guys of Pulp Comics talk us about how they created their magazine, the comics that we can read inside it and what’s about their next issue.

En primer lugar, los chicos de Pulp Comics nos hablaron acerca de como surgió su revista, de los comics que podemos leer en su interior y de que trata su próximo número.

Next, we had a coloquium with Paco Roca, the 2008 winner of the National Comic Prize. We talked about his latest published work called «Draughtsman’s Winter», the adaptation of his graphic novel Rides to an animation project and his future works and projects. Then Paco Roca and Nacho Fernández did an autograph session for all his fans.

Después, tuvimos una charla con Paco Roca, el ganador del Premio Nacional de Cómic 2008. Hablamos sobre su último trabajo publicado «El Invierno del Dibujante», de la adaptación de su novela gráfica «Arrugas» a un proyecto de animación y sobre sus futuros proyectos y trabajos. Después Paco Roca y Nacho Fernández hicieron una sesión de firmas para todos sus fans.

Sergio Abad, Sergio Bleda and Nacho Fernández explained us how to publish abroad and their personal experiences about publishing in other countries.

Sergio Abad, Sergio Bleda y Nacho Fernández nos explicaron como publicar en el extranjero y sus experiencias personales sobre publicar en otros paises.

And at the end we had a special coloquium titled «Fdez Vs Fernández» where we tried to find a possible relationship between the authors Rubén Fdez and Nacho Fernández. Also Rubén Fdez talked about his works in the humor magazine «El Jueves» and other stuff.

Y al final tuvimos una charla especial titulada «Fdez Vs Fernández» donde tratamos de encontrar un posible parentesco entre los autores Rubén Fdez y Nacho Fernández. También Rubén Fdez habló sobre sus trabajos en la revista de humor «El Jueves» y de otras cosas.

So this is all that we can tell you in general about how was the Spanish Amateur Encounter. Soonly we gonna start to post in this blog all the info about the people that is been accepted in the European Fanzine Project so…STAY TUNNED!
