Another girl in the EFP! Marina López Sancho is a girl from Barcelona than we can tell from his profile in her gallery on Deviant Art that likes the arts both as cats, loves pop-rock (and especially j-pop artist Gackt) and her favorite character is Ranma. But let her talk to us a bit of him 🙂

Marina López Sancho es una chica de Barcelona de la que podemos adivinar por su perfil en su galería en Deviant Art que le gustan tanto las artes como los gatos, le encanta el pop-rock (y en especial el artista j-pop Gackt) y que su personaje favorito es Ranma. Pero dejemos que sea ella la que nos hable un poco de su persona 🙂

Why did you start to read and draw comics?

I started reading comics, more specifically, manga, because I loved the series I saw on television. Ranma was the first series that regularly bought, not single issues. By extension, I liked that series so I spent the day drawing Ranma (and Son Goku). Not a very original story, ha ha!

¿Por qué comenzaste a leer y a dibujar comics?

Empecé a leer cómics, más concretamente manga, porque me encantaban la series que veía en televisión. Ranma fue la primera serie que compraba periódicamente, no números sueltos. Por extensión, me gustaba tanto esa serie que me pasaba el día dibujando Ranmas (y Son Gokus). No es una historia muy original, ja ja!

What comics did you read then and what you read now?

I cast this in answering the previous question, but completing after Ranma, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon and came Bakuretsu Hunter, Doraemon, Detective Conan, Dragon Half, Rurouni Kenshin, etc … And «higher» Evangelion, Death Note, Detective Conan (a comic series that never ends), Fruits Basket, Blade of the Immortal, InuYasha … The truth is that I have followed dozens of series, if the appointment we all sleep.

¿Qué comics leías entonces y cuales lees actualmente?

Me he colado contestando esto en la pregunta anterior, pero completando,después de Ranma, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon y Doraemon vinieron Cazadores de Magos, Detective Conan, Dragon Half, Rurouni Kenshin, etc… Y más de «mayor» Evangelion, Death Note, Detective Conan que nunca se acaba, Fruits Basket, La Espada del Inmortal, InuYasha… La verdad es que he seguido decenas y decenas de series, si las nombrara todas nos dormiríamos.

What authors have influenced you most in your way of drawing comics?

Undoubtedly, Rumiko Takahashi.

¿Qué autores te han influenciado más en tu manera de dibujar comics?

Sin duda, Rumiko Takahashi.

How would you define your way to make comics?

Well … let’s say «funny». I’m between the cute and the fun, I intend to do serious things but never get it xD

¿Cómo definirías tu manera de hacer comics?

Pues…digamos que «graciosa». Estoy entre lo mono y lo divertido, yo me propongo hacer cosas serias pero nunca lo consigo xD

What is your opinion on the European Fanzine Project?

Sounds like a great idea, I actually like the world of the fanzine was developed in Europe a bit like Japan, where they do conventions only about douijinshi and many authors of excellent quality self-publish. I was happy that an event was held in Paris in this direction. Returning to the Project fanzine itself, I am proud to participate in the initiative and I wish something like that to stay in a single volume.

¿Cual es tu opinión con respecto al Proyecto de Fanzine Europeo?

Me parece una gran idea, de hecho me gustaría que el mundo del fanzine se desarrollara en europa un poco como en Japón, donde hacen salones solo de Doijinshi y muchos autores de excelente calidad se autopublican. Me alegró mucho que se realizara un evento en París hacia esta dirección. Volviendo al Proyecto del Fanzine en sí, estoy orgullosa de participar en la iniciativa y me gustaría que algo así no se quedara en un único volumen.
